Thanks a lot for linking to my article and blog, and for giving the blog 5 stars. That was very generous.

As I scrolled down I saw the piece about life-branding. That is interesting in an unpleasant way (ever read "Generation X" and the references to refusing to be a target market?). I will follow that link, read up and then write a little piece on my other blog http://tornhalves.blogspot.com

I am struck by the fact that people do not immediately react against the idea that they might be a brand - that our very identity gets swallowed up by commerce.

Descartes made the proposition "I think therefore I am" the foundation of the Enlightenment. Is this now to be replaced by "I sell therefore I am"? I hope not.

But I do want to say a big thank you.
